Lost

Fear knocks on your eyelids every night,

Prisoning you to thoughts that blind you from a lit road clear in sight.

You're handcuffed to a universe Satan tells you exists

A universe made up of monsters and fire breathing dragons,

Creatures who reflect a rusty casket that dwells in a chest covered by gates

of darkness.

You’re a prisoner.

You’re suffocating.

Deteriorating.

Your intuition is dead.

Your numbness is lethal

Your mind bleeds cries of help

You’ve lost your way in a universe with no direction.

Imprisoned by the chaos in your head

You threw your fears against the sky

Too heavy to hold they dispersed into stars

Now every night they come out

Reminding you of what might await

So, you flee and

You hide.

But there’s something you can’t see.

You’re being everything you can be

You’re a universe of your own that God created.

You carry secrets God whispers through the wind and raindrops

the remnants of shooting stars flow through your veins

Your tresses are roots of a willow tree

can't you see?

Every teardrop that was made out of the fear of the unknown can blossom a garden of endless lilies

You’re a cosmos with fingers that draws planets of love on the edge of sunsets.

You just need to crawl.

crawl because He’ll come walking

Take one step

because He’ll come running

Allah will hold you.

Recognize His words are nothing short of true

But you still might not understand

What it is you can’t decipher

Is it the narrative the mirror shows?

Or the battle

You fight of wrong and right?

Except my friend just be certain

He won't abandon you

He’ll place gravity in your heart and pull you.

So what if the moon isn't here to stay

Or the sun rays broken promises every single day

What is it then that you can't decipher?

You think and think again to what it can be

Among the millions of possibilities.

You ponder until the arrow points

at

you.

So, what is it

That you can’t decipher?

Could it be you?

Your inability to absorb His words

From the sentence to the fragment right down to the last syllable?

So what is it again that you can't decipher?

It's His words.

The words that are

lost.

Lost in

The battle

Between the mind and the soul.
